2005 Nissan Sentra SE-R History
In 2002, Nissan decided to offer their customers the SE-R Spec V the sport compact version of the Nissan Sentra. Nissan’s main goal was to create a more sportier vehicle, that could compete with any of the sport compact cars of equal competition.
For the 2004-2006 years there were alot of cosmetic changes made to make the Spec-V Sentra from the front grille, side-skirt extensions, rear spoiler, black housing headlights, & the Six-Spoked 17 inch wheels. This 2004 model also featured a new style of taillights which – inspired the Skyline GT-R’s quadruple taillights.
2005 Nissan Sentra SE-R Edition
In 2005 the SE-R version was replaced by an all black, leather stitched ball-top shifter and the interior cloth option was changed from a gray and black color all black mesh – this made the look more sportier. The Brembo big brake kit also became an available option for the 2004-2006 Spec-V models.
The Special Edition of the SE-R Sentra 1.8L was released in 2005 and it featured a rear spoiler, SE-R interior, a 300watt Rockford Fosgate sound system, a SE-R front grille, and a front tie bar for a handling improvement. It used the same QG18DE engine and was available in automatic and a very few limited 5-speed editions.
